To launch the all-new 2024 Solution Speed tennis shoe by ASICS, Let’sBeFriends were given opportunity to create the animated 3D visual content for it’s global release.

The challenge we faced in creating this animation was that we had to create the visuals with only a physical product to work from. Our goal in creating a 3D rendition of the Solution Speed was to be as accurate and high fidelity as we could within the time parameters. Working from a scan, we recreated the shoe entirely in 3D and added enough detailing to allow us to frame up key beauty shots as the basis for the motion piece. Going slow in the initial phases of the project allowed us to the freedom to move up close on the technical features of the shoe without breaking the illusion.

We emphasized the improved grip of the Solution Speed’s AI-infused sole design by showing the Australian Open-inspired hard court respond to the trajectory shift in trajectory in the beginning of the piece. Other core features are then highlighted while the shoe appears in mid-motion. Filmic shutter techniques were used to add a more organic feel to the final product.
